Pain Management in Orthodontics

Orthodontics

To manage dental pain, I recommend doing everything you can to decrease inflammation. This includes eating soft food and keeping your mouth as cold as possible by eating cold foods.

Also, anti-inflammatory medication can be used but they do slow down tooth movement. Tylenol is a great alternative for decreasing the pain and not having any impact on tooth movement!

I recommend taking Tylenol or some anti-inflammatory one hour before your adjustments that way by the time we perform the necessary adjustments, your body has already absorbed the medication!
