How to Avoid Complications From Braces

Due to various factors, your teeth may need to be aligned or straightened.

This is where braces and retainers come in handy.

For a certain period of time, you will have to constantly wear them and when your teeth are at their best, the braces will be removed.

To reduce the risk of damaging your teeth and braces:

Cut down on sugary and starchy foods and beverages, which substantially contribute to plaque formation and tooth decay. Brush carefully, preferably after every meal, with fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristled brush.
